The 2025 Frederick County Spelling Bee will be held at Hood College in the Hodson Auditorium on March 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. The winner of the 2025 Frederick County Spelling Bee will continue their quest for spelling glory at the nationally televised Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. in May 2025.

How to Participate

There is still time to participate. Between now and December 20, 2024, your public or private school or home school co-op can register with Scripps to become eligible to participate in the 2025 Frederick County Spelling Bee.
Wondering if you’re eligible to participate? The Spelling Bee is open to all students in eighth grade or lower who have not turned 15 before August 31, 2024.
