We are so excited to announce the return of our summer concert series: Music on the Deck, which has brought exceptional musicians to the Thurmont Regional Library for more than 10 years. Bring the family to enjoy a free Sunday concert on the deck of the library. Even on the hottest of days, the deck is a cool place to be! All performances begin at 2:00 p.m.

This concert series is brought to you through the generosity of the Friends of the Thurmont Regional Library.

Established in 2014, Bluetrain's song selection consists of mostly traditional bluegrass mixed with Country, and some Pop tunes as well. Bluetrain has performed at numerous venues in the Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia areas. Regular venues include The Columbia Lakefront Concert, The Lurman Theatre, Goofy’s Pub, Jumbo Jimmy’s Restaurant, The Blueside Tavern, the Morgan Inn, Rob’s Bluegrass Barn, Charm City Bluegrass Festival, Lucketts Community Center, Upperco Bluegrass Festival and many private parties and events.

The Honey Dewdrops began touring in 2009 and have called the city of Baltimore home since 2014. With several albums and fourteen years of playing shows on the road, they continue to expand their experimental folk sound of electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin and clawhammer banjo with tight vocal harmonies, while maintaining a commitment to deepening their understanding of the world through the lens of songwriting and music.
