Library Card Sign-Up Month

A lovely family holds up their library cards with text that says Library Card Sign-up Month, more than just books, a whole lot more

September is National Library Card Sign-up Month and Frederick County Public Libraries (FCPL) is celebrating.

This year you’ll see us at various locations in the community during the month of September. Why? Because these library walls can’t contain our enthusiasm for library cards, that’s why! Keep an eye out. You never know where your friendly neighborhood librarians will pop up.

The Benefits Of A Library Card

With a Frederick County Public Libraries card, you gain access to an immense amount of resources—from an extensive and diverse print collection, to online services and content.

Looking to learn a new language? We provide access to Mango, an online language learning solution. Want to read the latest magazines? With your library card and Flipster, you have instant access to best-selling magazines. Researching your family history? Use your library card to access the Heritage Quest database. You can access all these resources from the comfort of your home using fcpl.org/learn.

We have something for everyone—passport services, fishing equipment loans, meeting rooms, and the list goes on!
