Student Success Cards

Student Success CardTo improve access to all of our library materials and resources, Frederick County Public Libraries has partnered with Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) and Maryland School for the Deaf Frederick Campus to offer our Student Success Card. Students can use their existing student ID number to borrow ten print items, access ebooks, and use all of our digital resources.

BookFLIX is an online literacy program for children that pairs classic video storybooks with nonfiction ebooks. BookFLIX builds a love of reading while reinforcing early reading skills in English and Spanish.

HelpNow is a resource designed for K-12 students and beyond. Live tutoring is available in English and Spanish from 2 p.m. - 11 p.m. to provide homework help for core subjects, including mathematics, science, and English language arts. Practice long division, improve reading comprehension, and learn other key skills.  Practice for standardized tests.  Students may submit papers to HelpNow’s Writing Lab for expert assistance and feedback, or collaborate with peers in virtual study spaces.

Free, online resource for teens and adults to take practice tests and review handbooks for the Maryland car, motorcycle, and CDL permit tests. Additional practice tests can also be found on the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles website.

Covers everything from art and literature to economics and the sciences.  This resource for academic research integrates publications from across the disciplines and includes vocational/technical titles used by community college students.
