Babies With Books: Birth to Twenty-Four Months

Learning to read begins BEFORE your child starts school - as a matter of fact, it begins at birth! Delight and stimulate your baby with songs, a story and activities. Get to know other families an help your baby develop listening and language skills. Tickets will be available on the day of the program for the first 15 parent/child pairs. This program is limited, so come early for your ticket.

Pizza Your Homework

The library will help you work through that pile of essays and math assignments with the ultimate in brain food - pizza! Join us every Thursday night for a pizza party and where a librarian will be on hand to help you get your best out of the worst - homework.

We’ll begin learning to play with others, wait turns, and listen to stories, as well as dance, sing, laugh and have fun! This storytime is designed specifically for caregivers and children 18 months to 30 months. Registration is available two weeks before the monthly program series begins.

Habla Espanol? A Special Storytime!

Take advantage of your child's natural language learning abilities: bring him or her to this special storytime in Spanish presented by Cynthia Fraga-Canadas from Mount St. Mary's University. Sing songs, listen to stories, and introduce your child to another language! Ages 2-5, with an adult.

Frederick County Infants & Toddlers Program Playgroup (ages birth-36 mos)

Community Toy Swap

Is your house filled with toys that no one plays with? Want to get your kids something new to play with? Drop in during our community toy swap and freshen up your toys without spending a dime. Bring a new or gently used toy and swap it for another. Any leftover toy donations will be sent to Goodwill.

Guidelines: Children must be accompanied by an adult. Games and puzzles must include all pieces. Anything cloth (i.e. stuffed animals, etc) must be laundered before bringing in.
