Set in Victorian London this first book in the Agency Series introduces us to Mary Quinn. An orphan and a thief, at age 12 she is sentenced to hang but is pardoned. At age 17 she is offered an education at Miss Scrimshaw’s Academy for Girls, a cover for the Agency, London’s female only group of detectives and spies.
