The Friends of the Walkersville Library was organized in the winter of 2010 to help support special projects at the branch. The Friends organization has helped provide funding for a wide variety children and teen programs. In addition to their continued support for providing quality programs, members are important advocates for the library within the community.

Friends of the Urbana Regional Library formed in 2006 to support and advocate for the newly constructed Urbana Regional Library. Since then, the Friends group raises money for special enhancements for the Urbana Regional Library, and works to foster an awareness and appreciation for library services and programs in the region.
Friends of the Urbana Regional Library is a volunteer organization committed to promoting, preserving, and strengthening the Urbana Regional Library.

The Friends is a group of individuals that have come together for the betterment of the Thurmont Regional Library. Collectively, the group supports library programs that otherwise simply would not happen.
Through monthly meetings, efforts are coordinated with the library staff to ensure our resources are put to the best possible use.

The Friends of the Edward F. Fry Memorial Library at Point of Rocks was formed in August 2006. Mr. Fry’s dream has led to the creation of a small satellite facility under the auspices of Frederick County Libraries. The first board meeting was held on September 11, 2007. The officers of the board were elected to assist with support and advocacy of the Edward F. Fry Memorial Library.
What Friends Can Do
Friends of C. Burr Artz Public Library is a non-profit organization of people that help provide high quality programs and services to all ages. Through fund-raising activities, private contributions, and membership dues, Friends help fund such wonderful programs as the Children's Summer Reading Program. During the summer of 2010 nearly 10,000 kids and teens participated.

Friends of the Library Brunswick Branch was formed in the spring of 2004 to support and assist the mission of the Brunswick Branch Library. As the library nears completion of its planned expansion in Spring, 2011, the Friends group will raise money for special projects specifically for Brunswick, and will work to create awareness and appreciation of library services in the community.
