Camp NaNoWriMo: Young Writers Program

Age Group: 
Ever wonder if you could write an entire novel in month? Maybe this is your month to try! Camp NaNoWriMo invites young writers to take part in a month-long writing journey. Workshops will help you help guide you on your journey. Join us on this creative, month long venture every Tuesday in July @ 4pm. Our third workshop, July 21, will feature a guest speaker, author Deb Schepp!

Learn to Play Magic The Gathering with Comics to Astonish!

Wednesday, July 22, 2015 - 12:00pm to 1:30pm
Join the experts from Comics to Astonish in Mt Airy to learn to play Magic the Gathering. In this three-program series, participants can practice playing on July 1 and 22 (if you have cards, feel free to bring them but they're not required to participate). On July 29, everyone can enjoy a Magic the Gathering tournament (your own cards required). This is a program for middle and high school aged students.

Want to design your own mobile app for Android? Learn how in this four-part program! Using the MIT App Inventor website, you'll learn all the steps in creating an Android app that you can then share with your friends and family.

Registration is required and extremely limited for this program series. Must be thirteen and up, in order to register for the App Inventor website. Homework may be assigned and participants must be able to attend all four programs. Refreshments will be served.

Poketown Gym! – A Pokemon Trading Card League for all ages!

The Poketown Gym, an official Pokemon League, provides a place for you to get together with other fans of Pokemon to have some fun. Use your own cards to make decks and play with others. You can also bring your Pokemon Video Games for exciting head-to-head battles. You can play, trade, and earn cool prizes like special promotional cards and booster packs, all for free!
