Every Hero Has a Story

Continuing on with the Frederick Reads’ theme of ‘Season of Wonder,’ the 2015 Summer of Wonder Summer Reading Program begins May 1 with a new twist! This year, the program will include events for all ages – even adults! The Summer of Wonder Summer Reading Program encourages Frederick County citizens to read and learn during the summer with programs and events held at the library and throughout the community. The 2015 theme of “Every Hero Has a Story” aims to inspire community members to discover and share those stories.

Summer of Wonder Summer Reading Family Festival at Westview Promenade

To kick off the new Summer of Wonder Summer Reading Program for all ages, Frederick County Public Libraries has teamed up with Westview Promenade for a Summer Reading Family Festival. On Saturday, May 30, the courtyard in front of Regal Cinemas will feature performances, crafts, and your favorite costumed characters. This event is for all ages with an adult.

Free Fantastic Fun Every First Friday

Join us for Free Fantastic Fun every first Friday of the month from April through October (no program in July) at Westview Promenade. Drop by the courtyard in front of Regal Cinemas for a variety of storytimes, music, games, and crafts. Each month will have a special theme and unique activities. Best for ages 2–6 with an adult.
