Little Gym of Frederick will guide you and your child through a movement based class, incorporating directive music, yoga poses and gymnastics stretches, all geared for babies and toddlers up to 3 years old. Registration required.

Take the Lego Robotic Challenge

Lego NXT robots feature a friendly code that tweens can understand. Join members of the RoboRangers 4-H Club as they work in small groups with participants to program a robot to run a specific mission. This is a STEM program geared toward children in 4th and 5th grades. Registration required. Limit 15 patrons

Choose a Pet for Your Family

A representative from the Frederick County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center on Rosemont Avenue will present tips and checklists parents can use to evaluate the choices of pet, sources for animals, and pet supplies and trainers. Allergy alert! Live animals may be included in the demonstration.

GSK Science in the Summer™: Chemistry Level I

GSK Science in the Summer™ will introduce students to Chemistry through interesting investigations that will allow them to explore physical and chemical changes, learn about "matter," make crystals, and determine if liquids are acids, bases, or neutrals. The four-hour program is held over two days. This is a free and fun experiment-oriented course taught by certified teachers to 15 students entering second and third grades.

Science Tellers: Dragons and Dreams
