Soolah Hoops

Monday, August 10, 2015 - 4:00pm to 4:45pm
Come join Soolah as she shares the joys of hula hooping. Kids will be entertained with a demonstration of hula hooping tricks with different kinds of hula hoops. Soolah will share her hoops, teaching kids how to hoop, how to do some tricks and play some games! Hoops will be provided. Please be sure your child is in comfortable clothing and has a water bottle to stay hydrated. Best for ages K-8

The Urbana Library invites you to join us for the Second Annual Slingshot Challenge. Children can try their hand at target practice with a giant slingshot! Meet us on the lawn near the freight elevator to see if you have what it takes to hit the mark.

If you’ve ever wondered how recycling really works, where your materials go, what they become and why you can’t recycle everything…this program is for you! Join Annmarie Creamer from the Frederick County Department of Solid Waste Management as she digs into the hows and whys of recycling. Ages 6-8. Registration required.
