Little Gym: Serious Fun

Little Gym of Frederick will guide your child through a movement based class, incorporating directive music, yoga poses, gymnastics stretches, and the use of small equipment such as rhythm sticks and hula hoops. Get ready to move! For ages 3-8. Registration required.

Hero Meetup: Little Dragons Karate

Martial artist Adam Kreimer teaches preschoolers each week how to be physically fit and defend themselves, all while building little one’s self esteem and self confidence. Enjoy this introductory class at Kreimer’s Karate to see the hero inside your child grow.

Program meets at Kreimer’s Karate, located at 1460-C West Patrick St., Frederick, MD 21702 at 1 p.m. Preschoolers should wear comfortable clothing. For ages 3-5. Registration required.

Let it Rot! A Composting Workshop for Families – Did you know that banana peels can make your roses more beautiful? It’s not a magic trick, it’s compost! Join Annmarie Creamer from the Frederick County Department of Solid Waste Management for a fun family program that looks at the wonders of composting at home. For ages 5 & up with an adult, registration required.

Soolah Hoops

Come join Soolah as she shares the joys of hula hooping. Kids will be entertained with a demonstration of hula hooping tricks with different kinds of hula hoops. Soolah will share her hoops, teaching kids how to hoop, how to do some tricks and play some games! Hoops will be provided. Please be sure your child is in comfortable clothing and has a water bottle to stay hydrated. Best for ages K-8

Hooked on Fishing

Hooked on Fishing is a fishing clinic with the MD Dept. of Natural Resources. We provide the rods and bait. You bring drinking water and sunscreen for a morning of fishing at Middletown Park. Casting practice, angler ethics, catch and release, and safety will be covered before fishing. Every child must have adult supervision. Registration required.

Storytime at Catoction Mountain Orchard
