Can you believe it's been 5 years since our new building was built? Celebrate our 5th birthday with a fun craft at 11am, frost your own cupcake at 12pm, and a visit from the Catoctin Zoo at 1pm. Enjoy a fun-filled day at your community hub!

The zoo is coming to your library. The Catoctin Zoo will bring a variety of animals to share with you and will talk about what life is like behind the scenes. You don't want to miss it.

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a therapy dog! The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program improves children's reading and communication skills by employing a powerful method: reading to a dog. But not just any dog. R.E.A.D. dogs are registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handlers as a team, going to schools, libraries and many other settings as reading companions for children.

Learning to read begins BEFORE your child starts school - as a matter of fact, it begins at birth! Delight and stimulate your baby with songs, a story and activities. Get to know other families and help your baby develop listening and language skills.

Is your curious toddler transitioning from baby to child? Transition to Twos nurtures this exciting time in your child’s development through books, movement, music and rhymes. We’ll begin learning to play with others, wait turns, and listen to stories, as well as dance, sing, laugh and have fun! This storytime is designed specifically for caregivers and children 18 months to 30 months.
