Early literacy begins with you! Help your preschooler develop the five early literacy practices that every child needs to succeed. Nurture a love of reading through books, music, activities, and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) elements.

Symphony Storytime with Frederick Symphony Orchestra!

Wednesday, May 20, 2015 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Children and their parents experience a live musical collaboration between the library reader and a Frederick Symphony Orchestra musician during this 30 minute storytime! The musician will play short selections, talk a little about their instrument, answer questions, and, after the stories are read aloud, audience members can take a closer peek at the instrument! This program is best appreciated by children ages 2-6 and their caregivers, but is open to all ages.

Have you ever wanted to make your own movie? B.Y.O.D (Bring Your Own Device) to our LEGO® Movie Maker Studio and create amazing films using our huge collection of LEGO® minifigs, bricks, and more! Using the FREE LEGO® Movie Maker app (compatible with iOS 5.0 or later on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch), or PicPac (compatible with Android), we'll bring everyday objects to life on the big screen!

A boys-only book club for 3rd-5th graders, we will explore "Wonder" this spring through reading, exploring and hands-on activities. March - the group will begin reading Wonder by R.J. Aviation Mural Painting

at the airport and we need YOUR help!
