R.E.A.D.® with Wags for Hope

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a specially trained "listening" animal! The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program works to improve children's reading and communication skills by providing registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handler (as a team)to meet with and listen to children read.
*Allergy Alert! The dogs and cats are live animals.*

Take the Lego Robotic Challenge

Age Group: 
Lego NXT robots feature a friendly code that tweens can understand. Join members of the RoboRangers 4-H Club as they work in small groups with participants to program a robot to run a specific mission. This is a STEM program geared toward children in 4th and 5th grades. Registration required. Limit 15 patrons.

Science @ Sundown - Kreimer Karate

An introduction to Korean Karate combining Tae-Kwon-do, Hap-Ki-Do plus Tang-Soo-Do. Martial artist Adam Kreimer teaches students each week how to be physically fit and defend themselves, all while building self esteem and self confidence.

Transition to Twos

Is your curious toddler transitioning from baby to child? Transition to Twos nurtures this exciting time in your child's development through books, movement, music and rhymes. We'll begin learning to play with others, wait turns, and listen to stories, as well as dance, sing, laugh and have fun! This storytime is designed specifically for caregivers and children 18 months to 30 months.

Hero Meetup: Kreimer's Karate

Martial artist Adam Kreimer teaches students each week how to be physically fit and defend themselves, all while building self esteem and self confidence. Enjoy this introductory class at Kreimer’s Karate to see the hero inside your child grow. For grades K-5.

Program meets at Kreimer’s Karate, located at 1460-C West Patrick St., Frederick, MD 21702 at 1 p.m. Students should wear comfortable clothing. Registration required.
