Frederick County Infants & Toddlers Program Playgroup (ages birth-36 mos)

Join us for fun & play for little ones and their caregivers, co-sponsored by FCPL and the Frederick County Infants & Toddlers Program. This program is open to all children ages Birth-36 mos. as well as those enrolled in the Frederick County Infants & Toddlers Program.

Transition to Twos

Is your curious toddler transitioning from baby to child? Transition to Twos nurtures this exciting time in your child’s development through books, movement, music and rhymes. We’ll begin learning to play with others, wait turns, and listen to stories, as well as dance, sing, laugh and have fun! This storytime is designed specifically for caregivers and children 18 months to 30 months. Registration is available two weeks before the monthly program series begins.

Art Zone: Optical Illusion

Have you ever wondered how to create eye captivating optical illusions? In this class we will explore how to create several optical illusions using lines and color. Each participant will create their own picture to take home. All materials and tools will be provided, and no previous drawing experience is required.

The a-MAZE-ing Marble Run!

We're making our own homemade marble run tracks out of masking tape and paper recyclables! Design, build and test your own unique track design and then watch those marbles fly! A great hands-on way to start thinking about the basics of physics. For kids grades 1-5 with an adult. Extra cardboard tubes / recyclables welcome.

R.E.A.D. ® with Wags for Hope

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a specially trained "listening" animal! The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program works to improve children's reading and communication skills by providing registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handler (as a team)to meet with and listen to children read.

Monday Playgroup at the Library! (ages 0-3)
