Bouncing Babies Story & Playtime

Learning to read begins BEFORE your child starts school - as a matter of fact, it begins at birth! Delight and stimulate your baby with songs, a story, and activities. Stay after storytime for independent playtime during which you and your child can socialize with other parents, caregivers, and children. The library will provide the space and a variety of educational toys to explore and share. Ages 0-3

Advanced Babywearing

Please note: **Prerequisite: Attendees must attend Babywearing Basics course on either Oct. 16 or 17.**

Owner of DixieLove Parenting Resource Consultants Abby Sines will demonstrate and provide instruction on back and hip carriers. Child must be able to sit unsupported to be worn on caregiver's back. Carriers will be available to try, but please bring your own if you have one. Class will include time for practice and questions.

Abby Sines, owner of DixieLove Parenting Resource Consultants will provide instruction for parents-to-be or parents with infants under 12 weeks covering the benefits and methods of babywearing, demonstrations of carriers, as well as how to position a newborn in a carrier. Carriers will be available to try, please bring your own carrier if you have one. Class will include time for practice and questions. Ms.

R.E.A.D. ® with Wags for Hope

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a specially trained "listening" animal! The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program works to improve children's reading and communication skills by providing registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handler (as a team)to meet with and listen to children read.
*Allergy Alert! The dogs and cats are live animals.*
