Teen Yoga

Teens 12-18 years of age, come join Ms. Alison for a playful yoga practice. We will challenge our bodies and minds, incorporating poses, group and partner activities, meditation and breath work.

Yoga for teens introduces concepts and techniques to help this age group discover new coping skills, encouraging peace and balance. Through yoga they can improve concentration, flexibility, and most importantly, find self empowerment.

All teens will be required to provide a signed parental/guardian waiver before participating in the yoga class.

Feeding hundreds of thousands of men was one of the greatest logistical challenges for both sides during four years of war. Learn what the rank and file of Civil War armies ate while on campaign and how soldiers might keep and prepare their food in the field. The monotony of army food was not only boring, it was seriously detrimental to one’s health, leading many soldiers to creatively supplement modest government-issued rations.
