Transition to Twos

Is your curious toddler transitioning from baby to child? Transition to Twos nurtures this exciting time in your child’s development through books, movement, music and rhymes. We’ll begin learning to play with others, wait turns, and listen to stories, as well as dance, sing, laugh and have fun! This storytime is designed specifically for caregivers and children 18 months to 30 months. Registration is available two weeks before the monthly program series begins.

Art Zone: Creating Patterns and Designs

What makes a good pattern or design? In this beginning drawing class, we will learn how to create patterns and designs using the elements of art. Participants will explore fun drawing exercises and techniques to create his or her own patterns and designs to take home. All materials and tools will be provided. No previous drawing skills are required. Ages 9-12.

READ to a New Dog Friend

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a therapy dog! The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program improves children's reading and communication skills by employing a powerful method: reading to a dog. But not just any dog. R.E.A.D. dogs are registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handlers as a team, going to schools, libraries and many other settings as reading companions for children. Allergy alert: the dogs are live animals.

Poketown Gym! – A Pokemon Trading Card League for all ages!

The Poketown Gym, an official Pokemon League, provides a place for you to get together with other fans of Pokemon to have some fun. Use your own cards to make decks and play with others. STEM Curiosity Academy (for children entering Kindergarten Fall 2015)

Children entering Kindergarten in fall 2015 are invited to apply for the library’s very own STEM Curiosity Academy! Race balloons, learn about circuits, build structures, make “flubber,” and much more in this exciting 10-day series.

Sol Yoga Good Cause Class

Join us for this free yoga class offered by Sol Yoga's Good Cause Division. On January 5 & 12, class will be held on the second floor of the library, rather than the Community Room.
