Join Annmarie Creamer from the Frederick County Department of Solid Waste Management as she digs into the hows and whys of recycling. Ages 9-12. Registration required.

Storytime at Catoction Mountain Orchard

Fill your pail - kuplink, kuplank, kuplunk! - It's blueberry season. Join the fun as we share some seasonal stories and songs in the beautiful setting of the Catoctin Mountain Orchard. Afterward, enjoy a super fun wagon ride tour of the orchard. In case of bad weather, we will meet at the Thurmont Library.

Hooked on Fishing

Hooked on Fishing is a fishing clinic with the MD Dept. of Natural Resources. We provide the rods and bait. You bring drinking water and sunscreen for a morning of fishing at Middletown Park. Casting practice, angler ethics, catch and release, and safety will be covered before fishing. Every child must have adult supervision. Registration required.

GSK Science in the Summer™: Chemistry Level II

GSK Science in the Summer™ will introduce students to Chemistry through interesting investigations that will allow them to explore physical and chemical changes, learn about "matter," make crystals, and determine if liquids are acids, bases, or neutrals. The four-hour program is held over two days. This is a free and fun experiment-oriented course taught by certified teachers to 15 students entering fourth through sixth grades. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. PLEASE VISIT THE BRUNSWICK LIBRARY TO REGISTER.
