Did you know that banana peels can make your roses more beautiful? It’s not a magic trick, it’s compost! Join Annmarie Creamer from the Frederick County Department of Solid Waste Management for a fun family program that looks at the wonders of composting at home. For ages 5 & up with an adult, registration required.

Science @ Sundown - Kreimer Karate

An introduction to Korean Karate combining Tae-Kwon-do, Hap-Ki-Do plus Tang-Soo-Do. Martial artist Adam Kreimer teaches students each week how to be physically fit and defend themselves, all while building self esteem and self confidence.

Dog Days of Summer Fun Extravaganza

Join us for a special day celebrating Man's Best Friend! Read with a special therapy dog (from the Wags for Hope organization), meet a local vet and learn some training tips from the Bark Busters. Don't forget to stop by the library the week before to vote for the "cutest dog in Thurmont".
