Hooked on Fishing

Hooked on Fishing is a fishing clinic with the MD Dept. of Natural Resources. We provide the rods and bait. You bring drinking water and sunscreen for a morning of fishing at Middletown Park. Casting practice, angler ethics, catch and release, and safety will be covered before fishing. Every child must have adult supervision. Registration required.

Book Lovers Trivia Night

Adult book lovers: join your hosts: FCPL, Brainstorm Comics, and Curious Iguana Bookstore, to test your knowledge in a fun-filled evening of book-themed trivia, featuring everything from literary classics to graphic novels and contemporary bestsellers.

Play solo or sign up as a team, with up to four members.

Refreshments generously donated by MOM's Organic Market.

Sign-ups begin at 5:00. Game begins at 5:30.

Science at Sundown - Let it Rot! A Composting Workshop for Families

Join Annmarie Creamer from the Frederick County Department of Solid Waste Management for a fun family program that looks at the wonders of composting at home. Science @ Sundown - Kreimer Karate

An introduction to Korean Karate combining Tae-Kwon-do, Hap-Ki-Do plus Tang-Soo-Do. Martial artist Adam Kreimer teaches students each week how to be physically fit and defend themselves, all while building self esteem and self confidence.
