Date:
Wednesday, July 8, 2015 - 5:00pm to 6:00pm

Feeding hundreds of thousands of men was one of the greatest logistical challenges for both sides during four years of war. Learn what the rank and file of Civil War armies ate while on campaign and how soldiers might keep and prepare their food in the field. The monotony of army food was not only boring, it was seriously detrimental to one’s health, leading many soldiers to creatively supplement modest government-issued rations.
