Soolah Hoops

Come join Soolah as she shares the joys of hula hooping. Kids will be entertained with a demonstration of hula hooping tricks with different kinds of hula hoops. Soolah will share her hoops, teaching kids how to hoop, how to do some tricks and play some games! Hoops will be provided. Please be sure your child is in comfortable clothing and has a water bottle to stay hydrated. Best for ages K-8.

Futuremakers: Glowing finger beams

Invent and wear illuminated finger beam makers! Use LED’s, batteries and conductive materials to construct glowing devices - and take slow speed photos of your hands in action! Ages 6 and up. Under 8 must be with an adult. Space is limited, register online or contact your library today.

GSK Science in the Summer™: Chemistry Level II

GSK Science in the Summer™ will introduce students to Chemistry through interesting investigations that will allow them to explore physical and chemical changes, learn about "matter," make crystals, and determine if liquids are acids, bases, or neutrals. The four-hour program is held over two days. This is a free and fun experiment-oriented course taught by certified teachers to 15 students entering fourth through sixth grades.
