Think with BINK: A Fort Detrick Alliance STEM Program for Kids (grades 1-5)

A visiting scientist from the Fort Detrick Alliance will teach us all about STEM each month!

January theme: Engineering Materials and Sample Testing
How are common construction materials are used and tested? How does concrete work? How does it compare with wood or steel? Explore engineering materials and learn the answers in this hands-on session with engineer Tom Taylor!

February theme: Money Matters: Teach Children to Save Program

Age Group: 
Come learn about the STEM Lab's 3D printer! In this program series, children will learn how 3D printers work and create their own printing file. Judges will select one file to print at the second session, which will then be put on display in the STEM Lab. The program is held on Oct 22 and Nov 19 and participants must attend both sessions. Ages 10-13. Registration required.

Preschool Science Fair

Wednesday, November 19, 2014 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm

This hands-on event is a fantastic way to experiment with basic scientific concepts using a variety of tools and materials. Explore and learn as you travel through 4 fun science fair stations. Be prepared to get a little messy. Register early as space is limited!
