Habla Espanol? A Special Storytime!

Take advantage of your child's natural language learning abilities: bring him or her to this special storytime in Spanish presented by Cynthia Fraga-Canadas from Mount St. Mary's University. Sing songs, listen to stories, and introduce your child to another language! Ages 2-5, with an adult.

Around the World

Date: 
Thursday, April 23, 2015 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm
Travel around the world with your library. In 6 weekly sessions, learn about cultures from around the world. Each meeting includes an activity and craft inspired by the culture of the week. This program is designed for homeschooled children, but is open to all children. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration is required. Register for all 6 weeks of the series.

Maryland State Parks Park Pals for 3 to 5 year olds

Park Rangers from Cunningham Falls State Park bring this special program out of the park and into the library! Get excited about nature and the outdoors in these special sessions for children ages 3-5 with a caregiver. Register for one or all of the 4 sessions throughout the county and explore the world around you.

R.E.A.D. ® with Wags for Hope

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a specially trained "listening" animal! The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program works to improve children's reading and communication skills by providing registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handler (as a team)to meet with and listen to children read.
