The EmPOWER Rangers each represent a form of energy we get our electricity from in Maryland. During this presentation you will meet all of the EmPOWER Rangers and learn about their energy sources. Parents will also learn about the EmPOWER Maryland program which can reduce energy in the home and keep money in your pockets!

Every Hero Has a Comic - Understand & Improve Your Comic Book Collection

Learn how to start a comic book collection (or, if you've already got one, learn how to improve it) with an expert from Comics to Astonish in Mt. Airy. Get a look at some exciting new titles and ask some questions. This event is open to students in elementary, middle, and high school.

Farming for Life @ Hargett Farm

We will meet up at Hargett Farm (park at 649 Himes Ave.)Jump in and get your hands dirty at Seed of Life Nurseries' farm to learn about running a CSA that also provides fresh produce to low income families in Frederick. We will all get a chance to help plant, harvest, or work on whatever the farm needs that day! Wear clothes that you don't mind farming in and a water bottle. We'll be working out under summer skies.
