Art Zone: Positive and Negative Designs in Art

Friday, May 1, 2015 - 4:00pm to 4:30pm
Want to learn how to make images really stand out? In this class we will explore the basics of creating positive and negative designs in art. Each participant will create their own positive and negative design to take home. All materials and tools will be provided, and no previous drawing experience is required.

What does art have to do with science, technology, engineering, and math? In this class we will explore how science, technology, engineering, and math play an important part in the creation of art. We will explore several techniques and methods to create a 3-D piece of art to take home. All materials and tools will be provided, and no previous drawing experience is required.

Thursday, May 28, 2015 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm
Travel around the world with your library. In 6 weekly sessions, learn about cultures from around the world. Each meeting includes an activity and craft inspired by the culture of the week. This program is designed for homeschooled children, but is open to all children. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration is required. Register for all 6 weeks of the series.
