Around the World

Thursday, May 28, 2015 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm
Travel around the world with your library. In 6 weekly sessions, learn about cultures from around the world. Each meeting includes an activity and craft inspired by the culture of the week. This program is designed for homeschooled children, but is open to all children. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration is required. Register for all 6 weeks of the series.

Intergenerational Book Club: El Deafo

Children (ages 8-12) and adults come together to share the wonder of awe-inspiring books in this series of three discussions, held on 5/30 at Urbana Regional Library, 6/13 at C. Burr Artz Library and 7/25 at Thurmont Regional Library. Curious Iguana Children's Book Buyer Kari Kelly will lead the discussions.

Hooked on Fishing

Wednesday, July 8, 2015 - 10:00am to 12:00pm
Hooked on Fishing is a fishing clinic with the MD Dept. of Natural Resources. We provide the rods and bait. You bring drinking water and sunscreen for a morning of fishing at Middletown Park. Casting practice, angler ethics, catch and release, and safety will be covered before fishing. Every child must have adult supervision. Registration required.
