STEM Lab: Intro to Kids Can Code! (gr 3-5)

Anyone can learn to code! Computer science is one of the fastest growing industries in the world, yet very few students receive computer instruction at school. Students can begin to learn coding basics using both electronics and hands-on materials in this program. All materials provided. Open to students in grades 3 through 5.

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a specially trained "listening" animal! The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program works to improve children's reading and communication skills by providing registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handler (as a team)to meet with and listen to children read.

The PAWS to Read program improves children's reading and communication skills by employing a powerful method: reading to a dog. But not just any dog. PAWS to Read dogs are registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handlers as a team, going to schools, libraries and many other settings as reading companions for children.
