In the early 1980's scientists at Texas A&M University developed a virus-based system to produce recombinant proteins using cells from the Fall Army Worm. The system has grown over the past decades to become one of the most powerful tools used in the development of new drugs and vaccines today. Explore the world of recombinant DNA technology and how it is used to create and produce vaccines that protect us against disease with Chris Kemp, President of Kempbio, Inc.

Soolah Hoops

Come join Soolah as she shares the joys of hula hooping. Kids will be entertained with a demonstration of hula hooping tricks with different kinds of hula hoops. Soolah will share her hoops, teaching kids how to hoop, how to do some tricks and play some games! Hoops will be provided. Please be sure your child is in comfortable clothing and has a water bottle to stay hydrated. Best for ages K-8
