Science at Sundown - 3, 2, 1, SUGO!

3, 2, 1, SUGO! - Learn how to customize Lego NXT robots and challenge other builders in a SUGO match with members of the RoboRangers 4-H Club. What is SUGO? SUmo wrestling for LeGO robots. This is a STEM program geared to grades K-3. Registration required.

Walking Tour of Historic Walkersville

Saturday, October 17, 2015 - 11:00am to 11:45am
Step into the past on this interactive walking tour of historic Walkersville. Hear stories of long ago residents and the people who helped build our town. An individual dressed in period clothing will lead the group around town and other members of the historical society will be positioned at selected structures, dressed in period clothing. The living historian will present information about the structure and or individual associated with the structure. The tour guide will point-out historical information between each living historian stop. This is a 45 minutes walking tour.

The War in Vietnam Book Club

In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War, we are proud to offer a special book club on the subject. Learn about the War in Vietnam from three different perspectives: Reading the journal of a U.S. Marine, researching the varied roles of helicopter usage during the war and a special Q&A session with a local Vietnam Veteran. Basic training exercises will be a part of each club meeting so be ready for some action.
