Offered by the Funding Information Network (FIN), this one hour class will introduce you to the basics of proposal writing, including:
•How the proposal fits into the overall grantseeking process
•What to include in a standard proposal to a foundation
•Tips for making each section of your proposal stronger
•Additional resources on proposal writing, including sample proposals
Registration is required as spaces are limited.

Friends of the Library are people who care and are interested in increasing awareness of the library in the community. Friends of the Library support the library by holding fundraising events such as Summer Book Sale and sponsor and staff special library events such as Februrary's 'LOVE YOUR LIBRARY. Membership is free and open to anyone interested in helping to enhance library services in the community. To learn how to become a Friend of the Library, contact Library Manager Erin Dingle at 301-600-7201. Current planned meetings are the last Tuesday of January, March and May.

Goodwill of Monocacy Valley and the Thurmont Regional Library partner to provide free job counseling every first and third Tuesday. This includes one-on-one help with interviewing, resume writing, online application help and computer training. Can't make it to the workshop?
