Library Associate II - Adult Services

Exempt; full-time; 40 hours per week (varied days and hours during FCPL regular operating schedule) full benefits; position subject to system-wide reassignment.

Position is located at Walkersville Branch Library.

This para-professional position provides comprehensive library services for patrons with special emphasis on services and programs for adults, and also is involved in a wide range of library activities and operations. Direction may be given to staff as assigned; supervision is received from the Branch Administrator.  In the branch setting, this person may serve as the “Librarian-in-Charge”.

Circulation Clerk

Job Type: Part-Time Library - Teachers' Pension

Non-exempt; part-time; 17 hours per week primarily assigned to cover Saturday/Sunday hours, weekday evening hours and some daytime hours during FCPL operating schedule at Urbana Regional Library.

This clerical position performs responsible duties related to all operations of an FCPL circulation desk and the automated circulation system. A significant amount of public contact is involved; therefore courteous, proficient customer relations skills are vital. Direction may be received from the Senior Circulation Clerk; supervision is received from the Circulation Supervisor and/or Branch Administrator.

Associate Director

This professional managerial and supervisory position is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of library operations. This position oversees the Virtual Branch and Systems and Collections Departments.  The position assists and advises the Director in budget planning, long range and strategic planning and policy recommendations. Supervision is given to various FCPL department heads and other support staff; supervision is received from the Library Director.
